Our Christmas as a family of FIVE

 You better watch out
You better not cry
 You better not pout
I'm telling you why...
The McDonald house has had Christmas
Santa Clause is still coming to town!
He sees you with your Beyblades
He knows you want Star Wars Legos
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake.

We got to go see Santa.  The kids all sat with him.  Kaden told him he wanted beyblades.  When it was Leland's turn, he just sat there.  He wouldn't even look at Santa.  Santa asked him what he wanted and Leland's reply was, "I'm not telling you.".  We'll see if Santa brings Leland anything.  He may just get coal.
Adelynn all dolled up in a dress Pam bought for Ava.  We love hand me down clothes!
Sweet angles when they sleep….Merry Christmas to all.  And to all a good night.

Happy Birthday to my 6 year old Kaden

Happy Birthday to you
You live in a zoo
You act like a monkey
And you smell like one too!

Six years ago, on December 3, 2007, Karl and I went to Taco Bell, had supper and then headed to the hospital to check in.  My water broke at 6am on December 4th.  My body worked well until I was about 5 cm.  Then it stopped.  Your heart beat slowed and they informed me we were going to have to do an emergency c-section.  You were born at 3:26 on December 4th.  You were purple when you came out but your cry was perfect.  You ate well and slept well.
You always wanted to be put in your own bed to go to sleep.  Very rarely did I get to rock you.  But most mornings you would wake up and eat and then we would get back in the bed and snuggle until about 9 or 10 am.  You taught us everything we know about raising babies.  We are still learning from each other.
You are a very kind hearted, sweet boy that loves to be told that you are doing a good job.  You look out for your brother and now sister.  Thank you for being such a kind boy.  I pray that you grow strong in the Lord and that you will be a great leader in the church.
Happy Birthday to you, Kaden Wayne.

Karl and Adelynn playing with the dog toys that Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Johnny sent.

 The favorite toy….the box!

Kaden lost two more teeth.  He pulled one on the 2nd of December and one on the 3rd of December.

Happy Thanksgiving

Karl, Leland, Eli (the one year old I keep), Adelynn and I went up to OCS to eat lunch with Red Arrow (Kaden).

We had a great lunch with Red Arrow.  The ladies fixed a wonderful meal of turkey, dressing, carrots and dessert.

Tis the season for duck hunting.  Leland loved the hunting even though it was cold and wet.  He enjoyed it.
This year, we were in Paris for Thanksgiving.  We had a house full at Da and Z's.  They are remodeling their bathroom/bedroom.  Da rented an RV.  All of the boys along with Andy and Lyneil slept in the RV.  The boys thought that was fantastic stuff.  Hopefully by Christmas it will be finished inside and we won't need the RV.  It was nice to have around.  We had 16 of us in the house all using one bathroom/shower.  We made it work!

WE all went to see Frozen.  Brayson said it was a girly movie and fell asleep.
On Wednesday night (the day before Thanksgiving) the boys all lead a song and Leland and Brazos helped lead singing with the other kids.

 Karl and Brazos playing chess.
 Jorge….preparing the turkey….????
Oh, the babies!  Amy and Oliver and Lyneil and Adelynn

 Sue and Lyneil
 Most of the Cagle Cousins
Sue turned 70 this year.  We printed her a book of different people holding up a sign that says, Happy Birthday, Sue!  The book turned out real nice.  I hope she will look at it and smile and be reminded how special she is to so many people.  We love our Aunt Sue!
Saturday night, we all went out to the Fish Fry to celebrate SUE!

 My awesome mom and dad.
Kaden had Tacky T-shirt day at school.  I gave him the material and he went to town.  He enjoyed making his t-shirt.  Leland made one too, but he doesn't like to conform.  He wore his regular shirt.  We went to watch the parade of Tacky T-shirts.  There were some good ones that day.  Kaden's was all his.  He painted the turkey on the front and then each wing had a hand print turkey on it.  He was very proud of his shirt.
Here are some random pictures of the kids in the month of November.

we'll end the month of November with Braxton rocking Adelynn to sleep on Sunday morning at church.
