HO! HO! HO!

So this is Christmas!  What do we say?  HO! HO! HO!
We waited with our friends to see the Christmas Trains that came through Monroe.  It was really neat and we were glad to wait with some really good friends of ours.

The Thursday before we left town we joined some friends at the Children's Museum.  Santa was there and the kids decorated cookies and had a blast.

We opened our presents on a Friday evening (Kristyn flew out the following Thursday).  It was pretty uneventful.  But the party was in the front yard afterward.  I asked everyone to get their coats and shoes on.  Karl and Kristyn gave me more grief than the kids did.  When I finally got them out of the house....they enjoyed themselves.

 Hard headed foursome...

 You'll shoot your eye out.
Then the following Tuesday night was our church Christmas Party.  The kids got to see Santa again!

Wednesday night Kristyn brought over MORE presents....

Thursday Santa came to WEE School and gave the boys a book.  It was a fun, eventful week and I loved every minute of it!

My Kaden is FIVE

Where has my time gone?  I am not ready for FIVE.  He is so grown.  He loves school.  He loves Bible Class.  He enjoys playing with his friends.  My Kaden is FIVE...

On Kaden's birthday we were joined by the Sear's family at Excalibur for an afternoon of fun.  It rained all day and we were the only people in the joint.  It was super exciting for all of four of the kids.  They played for two hours non stop.

Sir Leland guarding the presents.
Kaden wanted to write his own name on his birthday cake.

Leland just drew circles.
Kaden is great at using his imagination.
He has an imaginary friend named Cot.  Cot can do some amazing things!
Kaden wants to be a farmer when he grows up.
He asked for a ring with a crystal in it (like mommy's).
He wants to marry Kristyn when he is older.
He is starting to read.
He ALWAYS has a say.  He either wants to clarify or ask you a question.
He wants the baby to be a boy so they can go to school together.

His birthday present was a hit...for days!

Our Growing Family

For the first time in our married life...
we had our family pictures taken.  It was fun.  Karl wanted to have them taken on the bayou and we had a friend from church that so graciously agreed.
It was the perfect day/weather/time for great smiles.

This is us....although we should have had Kristyn playing on her phone in the background...

Jennifer did a fantastic job with the boys.  She worked hard on Leland and really got some good shots.

Thanksgiving

Look at our three morning happies!
We had a busy Thanksgiving.  We started out at Grandma Cindy's.  It was BEAUTIFUL.
We got to go and visit the park in Palestine.  The boys enjoyed the day there.
At Grandma Cindy's we played with play-do.  Everyone wanted a mustache...

Then we headed to Amy and Jorge's for Thanksgiving Day.  Karl and the boys raked their yard and the boys played in the leaves.  Kaden had been asking for some leaves to play in and since we lost our big tree in the back yard we were out of luck.  Amy's yard had plenty and they loved playing there as well.

 My two favorite men!
Check out these three lovely ladies....they make me smile!
Every time we go to Amy's she puts the boys to bed with some books.
My boys love being read to.
We also spent some time in Royce City with Daddy Mac...(guess I didn't pull my camera out...boo). We had a good time playing games with Sherry and Jeremy there.  Jeremy reminds me of playing games with Karl some times...lol
