Turner Time

While in Texas we were able to spend some time with Sherry and Chad as well. Being that both of them were on crutches, Kaden and I were able to stay and help them out a bit. We were able to see most of Karl's cousins. The only bad thing was, Karl was not able to be with us to enjoy any time with them. We'll look forward to the reunion in the fall!

Kaden and Biscuit

Sherry, while you and Chad were "working", Kaden decided to clean Biscuit's bowl. I had just cleaned it out and filled it with water. Needless to say, it needed to be refilled!

Fry bits...

Kaden has some fun sounds right now. I don't have the high pitch squealing yet. I guess I can only get that during church....The 'squirrel sounds' are some of Karl's favorites. Mom and I spent days trying to get him to do this for us. What can I say, his daddy brings out the animal in him!

Jennifer (9 plus months pregnant). This girl was up at the Ag shop cleaning out closets....what a woman. She never complained! We are all ready to meet Little Aggie Fry!

Karl and Kaden are at Micah's Ag shop. Karl and Micah worked very hard two long days there and made the Ag shop functional. Karl loved working there with Micah.

This video is from Tulsa. This is the other favorite of Karl's. In fact, I don't know that he has a sound that Karl doesn't like....those will come later (I guess).

Jennifer, Micah, Karl and I played Guitar Hero and Karl and I fell in love. Karl was pretty good for his first time playing but Jennifer and Micah still kicked our tails. We were rusty and they took full advantage of us....how rude. I hope they teach their daughter to be a better sportsman than they are....coming from me...he he

Did Kaden know?

Mom and Jennifer have asked if Kaden knew he was 'home'. I am not sure how to answer that question. He was more than excited to see Braxton and Brazos. He loves/is more than comfortable on his changing table. When I put him on the changing table to change his clothes, he immediately reached for the toy phone we have hanging over him. At that point, I would have said he definitely knows where 'home' is.



Since we have arrived 'home' and have slowed down (that's an understatement), Kaden has decided to take his napping schedule from 4 during the day down to 2...whew!

Tulsa Fun

Karl, Kaden and I were able to stop in Tulsa for a quick McDonald vacation and enjoy some time together. We swam everyday, spent some time in the hotel room just chilling, visited the Park Place Church of Christ and went to the Aquarium. Kaden loved the deep blue. My favorite part was the shark tank. It was not even comparable to what Amy and Jorge got to go and see but we enjoyed ourselves!

Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves and it was indoor!

Kaden didn't make it through the entire aquarium. He lasted a while, but just couldn't hold on any longer.

Kaden was so excited about his sweet little friend that he found. He had a daily visit with him.

Do you still love us?

We have been all over the state of Texas...or so it seems! We are finally home and back together as a family, (family being all of the McDonald's and Beck's in the same residence)!! Kaden and I were so glad to see the daddy. He came in and surprised us a day earlier than he said he would. I LOVE surprises!

Tiffany (one of the Beck boy's favorite sitters) came down with Lyneil to west Texas for some time away. After a week of going fast and furious, she was ready for her own bed in her own house. While she was in Texas, she wanted to drive a tractor. It just so happened to be that dad was in the middle of cutting hay...

The boys enjoyed being on the tractor but they didn't want to drive it.

Kaden is doing more and more tricks daily. Today he pulled himself up on the exersaucer onto his knees. Karl and I are learning what is and is not okay and what our limits are!

He won his race!

James has won his race. His heart could not beat any longer and he is no longer suffering. We are sorrowful for his family but we rejoice for his soul.

James Update

James is still running his race. It seems he has run extra hard all of his life, and the end is no exception.The eeg results show what was expected. Machines were turned off around 5:00 p.m. on July 15, but last night around 9:00 his vitals were all normal. His heart is still strong. We are praying for all to have a peaceful and restful time soon.

We're still around...

Yes, we are still here! Kaden and I have had some busy days driving all over Texas seeing Karl's family and Micah and Jennifer (I put 893 miles on a van in less than one week...Whew!). I will post some pictures later of all of our travels. I have not been as good as taking pictures, so they may be limited!

Kaden and I have been making trips to Sherman. We have a family at the hospital there and our hearts and minds have been in constant prayer for them. James Hawk (who is Karl's age) is brain dead (not real sure what the exact cause was, but a body temperature of 107 degrees for longer than one hour was the result). His parents are having to make some decisions that I pray none of us ever have to see or think of making for our children. He and his family have been a HUGE part of our lives. His dad married Karl and I, I grew up with he and his sister. His mom and dad were our youth leaders and our hearts are just sad for this family at this time.

Needless to say, we have been on pins and needles waiting to hear daily the reports. Please remember to keep the Hawk family in your prayers. They are rock strong and I am ever so glad they are Christ centered.
