Kaden's 1st Day at Work

Kaden went to work for the first time today. We are starting him off early. Lori (my boss) has high aspirations for this kid (as well as the rest of us). She already has him reading and giving advice from time to time.
He was great at work. I am only spending about 2-3 hours a time at work and Kaden gets to go with me. Isn't that the best of both worlds. I love it!

Prayers for Brayson

We are asking for your prayers for Brayson. Everything is okay at this point. He is having some trouble breathing again. His steriods have all worn off and he has one more week until he gets to go back to the specialists. Lyneil said that he is starting to sound bad again. He is still eating and sleeping okay. So, please just keep this little baby boy in your prayers that he will stay healthy enough to get he and his parents through next week!

Giggling Kaden

I finally took some video of our sweet little boy. Enjoy....This is for all of the grands and for the aunts!

By the way, Amy is updating her blog now...check it out!

Update on Andy's Grandmother

Andy's grandmother passed away this morning early. Please keep them in your prayers as they head south. The weather should be okay for them on the road. Just keep them in your prayers!

JD Corporate

Before Karl, Kaden and I headed out of town, I was greeted by the morning Beck Cowboys. They both came galloping down the stairs. They were looking for their sheep and cattle. Both of course with horse in hand. Have I said lately, how much I enjoy being here (I mean around my nephews/not particularly in the midwest)!
Wednesday morning we headed to JD Corporate. Karl received an innovation/collaboration award for his work on one of his projects and Kaden and I were able to join him for an evening of smoozing and then a day of strolling. Thursday we were able to go tour and look around. Is it wrong that they have huge tractors in such a nice building?
We tried on all of the tractors! Our little JD/Aggie boy!
Karl and Kaden in the driving and buddy seat. Karl wouldn't let Kaden sit in the main drivers seat. But he did have a buddy seat all to himself.Kaden sizing up against the big wheel.

Standing in front of a humongous construction deer*e.

We found a loader that just fit!

Snowy Sunday

I took this picture Friday. Just thought it was cool how the snow is just hanging there. Isn't it neat how God just makes the wind blow and the snow fall just perfectly!
This is what happens when Lyneil is gone all day and I had to go downstairs to change the laundry....Kaden has Brayson duty! I think we exceeded the weight limit in the swing!

Well, today is Sunday and we are home all day. We are under a blizzard warning and the streets are slushed. So, therefore, we will have no worship, Bible class or LTC practice today. Karl is working on the church website, the Beck's are all upstairs and Kaden is wiggling his chuncky legs. Looks like we'll get to spend some wonderful time with daddy today!

Happy Belated Valentine's/Birthday

Today one of my wonderful friends turns the big 21! Happy birthday to you, Jennifer! I hope your day is filled with happy smiles and loving hugs and that you will soon feel your baby move! I love hearing from you on an (almost) daily basis. You make me smile and I appreciate all of your happieness and reality of life!
Happy Belated 17th Birthday Jorge. In all of the mess of yesterday you were placed behind Brayson and I apologize. Thank you for understanding and for being the Brown-sugar my sister longs for! You are the perfect one for her and she for you. Thank you for loving her as we are instructed to love each other.

This is what I found yesterday while I thought that Karl was still downstairs changing clothes.
There were three little monkeys sitting in the bed.
One fell out and the other one said...
Pick me up, pick me up.
Yesterday, my intentions were to post this for Lyneil, Andy and Brayson. You see, I am a dollor short and a day behind. Well, hope everyone had a blessed Valentine's Day and that you continue to show/share your love throught the weekend!
Love this picture. Kaden was so 'happy' that he couldn't hold his head up (I only wish he was laughing). And, we fired the phototgrapher, she cut the sign off at the bottom! Notice the heart, we had to use the candy box heart that came from their mom and dad earlier that day (via Brazos).

They are coming back...

Howdy! Lyneil, Andy and Brayson are on their way home at this hour! The specialists have decided that they want to get this little baby boy well before going in and doing such a major surgery. I (again) am unaware of any details, other than, they are on their way home, they have lots of different remedies (drugs) to push through this baby and they will venture back to Iowa City (~2 hr. drive) in two weeks.

I will gladly welcome them back and allow Neil to take back over what once belonged to her!

Thank you for all of your prayer! The phone rang off the hook today. Thank you for all of the calls and mostly for being a part of our crazy and exciting family! We love all of y’all!

Update on Brayson

I don't know much at this point. Just wanted to let you all know that we really appreciate all of the emails, calls, thoughts and prayers. Lyneil and Andy left the hospital this morning in Des Moines at 11:20 am and headed to Iowa City. They are still in the meeting with the ENT Dr. We'll know more later and I will post as soon as I hear from them.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Prayer Request for Brayson

Howdy to all y'all out there!

Neil and Andy are in the hospital today with their 4 week only, Brayson. He has pneumonia and will be traveling tomorrow (Thursday) to Iowa City (Children's Hospital) to have a surgery on his nose bone (more details later). They think the top of his nose bone is too small and they are going to go in and try to fix it.

I am not sure of all of the particulars...visit Lyneil's blog to find out or come back later. I will try my best to keep up to date info for you.

Needless to say (details or lack there of) Neil, Andy, Brayson and the doctors all need your prayers for this baby boy.

Bloggers, unite! Let's go to our Father and He will keep blessing us!

Thanks for all of your prayers!

Not Creative

Well, I am not as creative as some of my other cousins. I am all open for ideas. I need a good measurement of how to show Kaden's growth for all of our family in the great state of TEXAS!
This is Kaden at 2 months. This is a gift that one of Karl's PM's gave us when Kaden was born. I know that I am not using correctly, but it was easier to show (his growth) this way.

Applebee's Outing = Late to church

Wednesday evening after the big boys came home from work, we decided to go out for supper. It has been since early November since we have all gone out to eat before worship on Wednesday evening. Since then, we have added two babies and one broke leg man. Here we are enjoying our time one the dime and sitting a a HUGE table that accommodated all of us, but we were late for church. It takes more than just a couple of minutes to maneuver this many...
Kaden and his daddy.
He loves his daddy and shares some of his biggest smiles with him. Kaden is growing by leaps and bounds and talking up a storm.

2 months old!

2 months old and growing!
Kaden is 2 months old today.
He loves to eat and has his daddy's patience when we are not fast enough to provide food.
He has little rolls on his thighs...too cute (compliments of his mama not daddy).
He loves to coo and giggle.
He has old man hair syndrome.
He is HEAVY!
Stats:
2 months 0 days old
24.5 inches long (93rd percentile)
14.9 pounds heavy (97th percentile)
41 centimeters for head measurement (75th percentile)
Did I tell you how much he loves to eat?
Look how sweet he is. I love being his mom and I love the fact that he has such a passionate and loving father!
Here we are at Kaden's two month check up. He blew their charts out of the water..almost!
Kaden: Dad, I'm naked and it's 26 degrees outside. You think this light little blanket is good enough?
Dad: It's all your mom brought.
Kaden: We need better training wheels for her. This paper is COLD.
Karl has taught Kaden how to be a vato...not real sure where Karl learned it from...
But, no matter what, we have fun learning. Braxton took his turn dressing himself. He wanted to be farmer in the Dale. He dressed himself for church but God was watching out for Lyneil, worship was cancelled because of the weather. HE NEVER LEFT THE HOUSE! He did, however; have a hard time bending over... he he

Eli and Hunter enjoyed having Kaden around and were sweet to him.

Pam, Micheal, Hunter and Eli paid a visit to us at the house before we headed east. Pam got to hold/see Kaden before Ashley and Jennifer and she made it known!
