13 Things about SNOW...

I would love for it to go away

I love building Snowmen. I only have a couple of memories doing this, so I am excited about making new ones to add to the bank.

It is way overrated!Add Image

I hate the sound of crunching snow when you are walking in it. I can take the 2-3 inches of snow but there’s something about the sound of a thin layer of snow on the ground/concrete and the way that is crunches. It gives me chills…Like little snowmen running up and down my spine!

Looking forward to some mean snowball fights. Hope Braxton brings his “A” Game…

Love to watch my nephews get all bundled up to go run to the car. They have the cutest toboggans.

It is pretty to watch from inside, especially at night. You can look up at a street light and see all of the mounds of snow falling.

Don’t care for driving on it. It is slick as snot. (Could do without that part of it.)

I have been able to work from home because of it…SWEET!

Have I mentioned that it is COLD…?

Funny thing – Your car is always a dirt mess or clean as a whistle up here….We go in between both.

Not only do you truly need a “winter” closet but the winter shoes are a definite must.

Karl loves the snow and he is much more apt to snuggling when there is white, cold stuff on the ground outside! Love this one the most!!

I got tagged...

I have officially been tagged by My stinking sister Lyneil.

I figure that I need to do this one since Amy actually did and I Neil is giving me a hard time about it.... Good job Amy!

Here are the directions:
1)Grab the book closest to you
2)Open to page 123, go down to the fourth sentence
3)Post the text of the following 3 sentences on your blog
4)Name the author and book title
5)Tag three people to do the same

"We simply do not pray enough!
Faith is the third weapon we can sharpen in our battle to practice and teach self-control. As sinpleminded human, we simply need the faith that obeying Jesus is going to pay off."

I stole Light Their Fire for God, written by David and Anne Harper from Andy and Lyneil's library. This is a great book and I am glad that I have picked it out to borrow....

Prayers are Needed

Isn't it amazing how easy it is to talk to God? I have learned to appreciate the fact that my drive one way to work is 45 minutes. I love it. It is my quiet time with God and I can't get away from it. I don't have any interruptions and it is helping me tremendously.

I love this random picture I found on the internet of these two teams coming together in prayer. How wonderful would it be if we allowed God to still be a part of every team event we are associated with?

I have a favor to ask of all of you. My Granny Zant is going to have her vein swap surgery on Thursday, November 16th. She has had two very close calls and we are praying that this surgery will be one of which is successful without extreme measures of reviving her.

Her heart is sad also because of some family things that we are going through. Please pray that God's Will be done for our family.

It is great to be able to have such friends that I can rely on for prayer.

My husband is the GREATEST!!!!

My wonderful husband gave me 20 beautiful long stem roses. There are four different colors; yellow, pink, peach and white. Since Karl had back surgery yesterday he stayed home with Lyneil and the boys. He mentioned that he wanted to to go get some flowers for me and Lyneil (being the care taker that she is) would not allow him to drive yet. So, she went with his list and purchased the flowers Karl asked her to purchase. When I came home from work he was putting water in the vase and arranging them.

I asked why the roses to the man that has litterally brought me flowers on one other occassion in 5 years. He just doesn't do flowers. He told me that there was one flower for every pound that I have lost. Isn't he great! What a man!

Thank you Neil for running and getting the flowers for Karl (and for helping me stay on track with my WW) and thank you Karl for the beautiful thought!

I love you Karl Wayne!

It is connected to your ribs that keep most of your vital organs safe. Your spine allows you to bend to pick up things. Karl and I have been at the hospital since 4:45 am this morning. Karl had a ruptured disk in his lower lumber area and he had surgery for it today. He has nine staples in his back holding his lovely incision together. He is on the road to recovery. He is surly a tough cookie, a real trooper. I hate that he had to go through so much pain, but I am THANKFUL for modern technology and for smart doctors that are truly blessed to have such a wonderful heart to heal people with medicine. More than that, I am THANKFUL that God is on our side and HE LOVES US and heals our spirits as well as helps us heal our bodies.

This one snuck up on us and we acted quickly from the time of the first appointment until this morning. I just wanted to remind all of us that our backs are one of the few things that cannot be replaced if broken. Treat it kindly and take care of yourselves and be thankful for healthy bodies!

God is so good!

Let us know what ways God has been good to you today!

How Many of Me Are There

My name is very common amoung thoes in the US. There happen to be 362,962 Andrea's and 224,976 McDonald's. Not very surprising, there are no Andrea Zant's in the US. We seem to have plenty of Andrea McDonalds!
