Celebrating 60 years!

Granny and Papa celebrated 60 years of marriage this September. How exciting and a great excuse to come home and join in the fun.

Phillip brought a horse and carriage up for us to all take a ride. Everyone got to ride around the park...thanks Phillip for making our evening even more special.

Phillip put Kaden on the horse and he LOVED it. He wanted to ride the "neigh" all night after that point.

First riders...Papa and Granny and crew. Dale, Leland, Susan, Caren, T'Auna and Maronda came all the way from west Texas (as well as Neil and family) to help us celebrate. Thanks for making the trip.

It was sooo good to see them.

The 'younger' bunch on the wagon. We loaded it down. That poor 'neigh' was ready to go home after this loaded bunch.

Cookies--Boxing--Picnic Time

It's been a WHILE since I have actually made some cookies from scratch. It's just too easy to buy them and bake them when I am ready. I pulled out my old, trusty cookbook from the church and found Granny's recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Delicious!! By the time we were done, it looked like the Pillsbury Doug boy had flour tooted all over my kitchen! All in all...Kaden and I enjoyed the batter and the cookies! Fun times.
The Blane's are teaching Kaden how to hold his own....as if he needs the lesson's! Ryan was just letting Kaden go at it! They are good to him!

Last weekend, JD had a picnic and the weather was testy, but turned out to be a beautiful day. We played tons of games, flew kites, and ate...
and Kaden played in the water...most of the day! Water and sand and this boy is SET!

Barrels of fun and family camp

This is the wine barrel that Karl converted into our entertainment center. Kaden thinks it's a great place for hiding/playing.
Karl, Kaden and I were able to go to Family Camp this year and we had a blast. It was a quiet weekend with very few families. We pretty much had the grounds to ourselves. Loved every minute of it. Next year, we'll take more families and share the love. Each night we had camp fire and Kaden had to wear a jacket. It was chilly when the sun disappeared.

Kaden loved the camp food!

Karl and Colby took their turns as 'cookie'!

All the big kids were playing games and the little kids decided they wanted to play as well. Karl joined in!
Kaden got to ring the bell for dinner or supper...a meal!

Kaden and Logan waiting on the next activity on the agenda.

Frankston and the zoo

Kaden loved the fish pond at Grandma Cindy's house. He wanted to touch the fish, but they were smarter than that!
Sandy let Kaden hand feed her throughout the weekend! Even after she was full, Kaden kept on feeding her.

I love this man. He is my best friend and I love his smirkly, little smile.

We were able to go to the Zoo in Tyler and we loved it. It was great!! There was a house there where you could go in and feed the birds...We spent tons of time in there. Kaden thought it was grand. He wanted to grab the birds each time one landed on his feeding stick.

Father, son and their proud catch...

We took this one for Aunt Sherry...we missed seeing you and Chad this trip

Enough zoo, we are DONE!
