San Diego

Oh boy!  It's a road trip!!  Karl and I traveled 10 hours to Lyneil and Andy's house.  After a night's sleep, we loaded up the suburban and headed west.  It was a fantastic trip.  Karl drove the first let (7pm-3am), I drove the middle portion (3am-7am), we stopped for breakfast and Lyneil picked up the last leg (in the mountains and WIND...7am-11am).  We are thankful for safe travel!  It was a blast getting to ride in the car for 18+ hours with 5 boys.  They did phenomenal.
I think Lyneil had the brunt of the driving.  The wind was super strong going through the mountains.  Oh, wait!  Where's Andy.  That stink got to fly to CA.   He is a great planner!  lol
We filled up a suburban.
While in San Diego we got to go visit the zoo.

Karl found a good home.  He fit in well in this area.

I enjoyed the hippo.  She had a baby calf with her.
Every night we were in CA we visited the beach.  Every night the boys played in the sand.   WE LOVED California!  The weather was perfect and the company was entertaining.

We also got to visit Shamu.

Karl took the boys down to the splash zone and sat on the 2nd row.  They were soaked.
All of the boys got to touch the dolphin and some of them got to feed him.  They were very excited.

These boys were sandy.  Every night we had a black coating in the tub.  They sure did enjoy the beach time.

Lyneil and her three boys.
On Sunday, after Bible Class we headed over to see/explore the USS Midway.  I could have stayed there another hour or two.  It was pretty impressive.

LEGOLAND
They would build all day...

Karl was in love.

We had peanut butter and jelly most days for lunch and ate local for supper.  Leland decided to help himself to Braxton's spread...straight out of the jar.
Karl was super helpful...poor Brazos.  Karl made him work.

...all made out of lego's.  Do you see the q-tip?
Brazos and Karl were glad to be home...out of a vehicle.
It was a great trip.  We had wonderful partners for traveling and we will do it again.

NO more diapers!

WHOOP!

Leland is potty trained!  We are some happy, happy people!  I walked through WalMart and Sams this week and just puffed my chest a little bigger when I sashayed by the diapers without even thinking about needing more!

WHOOP!

Kaden is such a great helper.  He has been wonderful to encourage Leland (it helps that we rewarded both boys).

We are very proud of both of boys.  We are blessed!

Easter

Easter was busy this year.  Easter is a time when we are gearing up for LTC and this year was no different.
Our Easter started at the library at story time and just exploded from there!
Leland and Kaden collecting eggs at the library.

On Wednesday, the boys woke up and saw that the Easter Bunny had been at our house....and he left some fun things for the boys!

Karl and I made confetti eggs for us to play with outside.  We had a blast.  There were not enough eggs.  The fun could have gone on for hours.

Since we had a split LTC this year (Karl went to Kansas City LTC and I went with the church here.  We headed to Mobile.), Mom and Dad came and kept the boys at the house!  That was WONDERFUL!
They visited the zoo, Sonic and went to an Easter Egg Hunt.  They had a busy weekend and the boys LOVED every minute of it.

Thanks Mom and Dad for loving our kids and taking care of them.  We are blessed!

Kaden's first soccer experience.

Karl grew up chasing/dribbling balls on soccer fields.  He loves soccer so much he still plays.  So, when Kaden was old enough to play, we decided to go for it.  Soccer is a great sport.  You RUN...a LOT!
We were the Lean Green Machines (thanks to Goldman for sponsoring us).

Kaden played soccer this year.  He barely made the age requirements, but he had a lot of fun.
Karl got to coach Kaden's team and we had a blast.
These boys were all 4 and 5 years old and it was their first time to play soccer.  They did awesome.
Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Johnny got to come to watch one weekend.

At Crawfish City

Grandma Cindy brought Leland a birthday present and the boys also got a sprinkler to play in as an Easter present.  Thanks!

Karl caught a lizard for the boys.  It was a fun weekend.  The weather was perfect for being outside!
