Oh boy! It's a road trip!! Karl and I traveled 10 hours to Lyneil and Andy's house. After a night's sleep, we loaded up the suburban and headed west. It was a fantastic trip. Karl drove the first let (7pm-3am), I drove the middle portion (3am-7am), we stopped for breakfast and Lyneil picked up the last leg (in the mountains and WIND...7am-11am). We are thankful for safe travel! It was a blast getting to ride in the car for 18+ hours with 5 boys. They did phenomenal.
I think Lyneil had the brunt of the driving. The wind was super strong going through the mountains. Oh, wait! Where's Andy. That stink got to fly to CA. He is a great planner! lol
We filled up a suburban.
While in San Diego we got to go visit the zoo.
Karl found a good home. He fit in well in this area.
I enjoyed the hippo. She had a baby calf with her.
Every night we were in CA we visited the beach. Every night the boys played in the sand. WE LOVED California! The weather was perfect and the company was entertaining.
We also got to visit Shamu.
Karl took the boys down to the splash zone and sat on the 2nd row. They were soaked.
All of the boys got to touch the dolphin and some of them got to feed him. They were very excited.
These boys were sandy. Every night we had a black coating in the tub. They sure did enjoy the beach time.
Lyneil and her three boys.
On Sunday, after Bible Class we headed over to see/explore the USS Midway. I could have stayed there another hour or two. It was pretty impressive.

LEGOLAND
They would build all day...
Karl was in love.
We had peanut butter and jelly most days for lunch and ate local for supper. Leland decided to help himself to Braxton's spread...straight out of the jar.
Karl was super helpful...poor Brazos. Karl made him work.
...all made out of lego's. Do you see the q-tip?
Brazos and Karl were glad to be home...out of a vehicle.
It was a great trip. We had wonderful partners for traveling and we will do it again.
