Visit to Aunt Ruby

Kaden, Leland and I were able to spend some extended time in Texas with family over June and July. We are so thankful for a daddy that is wonderful and allows us to be gone from him when it is convenient. One of the days Amy, Sue, Z, the boys and I took off to Clarksville to see my great aunt Ruby. She still cracks me up. We rocked her world for a few hours...I know she rested well that Monday night!
Kaden tried his best to take Amy for a ride! She was a good sport!
cheesing...
Three wonderful women! Buddy (Ruby), Z, and Sue

Family Fun Night at the mall!

Once a month, a mall in town hosts Family Fun Night. It is a nice (FREE) get away for the kids. They have four huge bounce houses set up and a HUGE slide. The lines are not that bad and the kids LOVE it. We have been able to go three times this year so far. It may be August before we get to go again...Texas bound.
Leland is just a trooper!
We love taking him places...

Bob and Dora were there this month. Landon said NO Thanks and Kaden would only give them '5'. He attacked Cookie Monster and Elmo last month...

This last month Landon was with us and he joined in on our fun!

Leland's 2 months old

23.1 inches long (57%)

13 lbs 3 oz (82%)
40 cm head circumference (50%)

Some things about Leland:
you sleep through the night (9 pm - 8 am)
you take 1.5 ounces of straight prune juice a day
poop once a week
cry only when getting shots, I lay you on your back or when you are hungry
you love to cuddle and sleep with me in the recliner
you sleep in your crib all night
you don't sleep well in your bed for day time naps
you take great naps on your tummy on the couch during the day
you are not a huge fan of the swing
you like to wake up, eat and take a three hour morning nap
you eat every three to four hours (during the day)
you are giggling (mostly at your dad)
you have the most rank gas in the world...but I love you
Kaden LOVES you and likes to rub the top of your head and say, "Hey! Big Guy!"
your smile is contagious
you are wearing 3-6 month clothes and have been since 1.5 months old
you are smothered in love every day and even more so on Sunday's and Wednesday's

The Omaha Zoo was GREAT!

After a long ride back from Texas, the young boys and I jumped back in the car and headed for Omaha. Bryant wanted to go to the Omaha Zoo for his 'Gotch'a Day". I think that was a great choice. So, we joined the Clapp family in the festivities.
The Omaha Zoo is WONDERFUL! We did not even get to see everything and we were there from open to close!
You can't tell it from the picture...but even Leland enjoyed himself...It started out a bit chilly but by the end of the day, it was beautiful! We will go back...but not soon enough! Poor Leland was in his car seat all day. He did oh, so well. We are grateful for a good little boy. He just goes with the flow...hopefully he will always be this easy going!
The zoo had an awesome aquatic center. It was my favorite. There were sharks, sting rays and all kinds of fish swimming all around us. It was too neat!
The sting ray loved us. He just kept smiling at us!
Kaden liked the sharks coming at him. The closer they came to the glass, the closer he came to me!
Rosa and Kaden climbing in the caves.
The kids trying to stop the rolling ball. With Colby's help, the finally stopped it and then had to give it a push to get it going again!
These monkeys were hilarious. They were having a ball with each other. Making all kinds of 'whooping' noises. They completely entertained us.
We can act like gorillas too!
The elephant on the other hand....well, he didn't do much. He leaned on the post and then went and drank some water. He was huge...and super close to us! Kaden like the elephant as well.
We are blessed to have such great friends...and we are more so blessed that we get to be friends with Bryant. Way to go, Clapp Family!!!
